Ferry Landing Lodge is a great place to stay, offering excellent kiwi hospitality and comfortable accommodation. The Harbour View Suite overlooks the harbour entrance, and has a private bathroom. There are many beaches and bush walks on your doorstep and restaurants aren't far away either! Access to your accommodation suite is through the main house. Our beautiful bed and breakfast lodge has evolved over the past 7 years. This suite was actually an 'after thought', and not in the original plans! It began one summer's day in 2006, when Rob called out to me to join him up on the roof. He was cleaning the gutters, and I found him sitting there looking out over the harbour toward the bush-clad hills, Buffalo Beach and beyond. "What incredible views from here!" A brainwave! Plans were drawn and building commenced, along with other major renovations, which included the removal of a large, brick fireplace in the lounge to be replaced with large glass doors. The major renovations were completed in 2007. Blew our budget of course, but those of you who have renovated a property will know that this is normal!! The front of the house, with full-length glass doors, looks out across sparkling waters to Whitianga wharf and beyond. As soon as you walk into the house these fantastic views 'hit' you! Simply breathtaking, is the usual comment. A large deck provides access to the front garden, while a smaller deck, just to the right of this main deck, has been set aside, for your private use. Sheltered, with comfortable rocking chairs and a coffee table, it is the ideal place to watch the sun setting over the harbour. However, we warn you, relaxing and watching the boats come and go, while enjoying a glass of wine, can be habit forming!

 Another view of the Harbour View queen room, taken during February 2009. There may not be much time to watch the TV / DVD, but it's there for your convenience along with a library of DVD's. The small fridge and tea / coffee making facilities, provide for that late night, or early morning 'cuppa'. In the photo above, you can see our well laid out garden. You are welcome to taste the organically grown produce which includes strawberries, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, beets and herbs for a tasty summer salad sandwich.
