Well traveled in NZ and overseas, meeting people and sharing New Zealand with travelers is our passion.

One Christmas, 17 nationalities joined together to celebrate and enjoy each others culture ...and

that was before, we became...

Bed and Breakfast hosts!!

Rob was born in Whitianga, his family farmed not far from here for many years. His great grandfather, Robert Wigmore Senior a gentleman from Ireland, was the first European settler in Hahei in the 1800's. In a relaxed, enthusiastic style, Rob shares his passion for the early Maori and European history and geography, during an interesting walk to the historic Maori Pa Site on the native reserve adjacent to the lodge.

Rob enjoys history, geography, reading, music, singing, playing the guitar and keyboards and dancing. Is currently a member of the local country music club. In earlier days he, along with 3 buddies formed a band , enjoying some local success. On special occasions they still get together, and perform the same rock-n-roll tunes, which is a lot of fun. Environmental issues and the great outdoors are also high on the list of priorities. Being Secretary of the local Residents and Ratepayers Association keeps him busy, as does his engineering consultancy which he operates from home. Also involved with building, renovating and landscaping of the property, he is also Pam's 'right hand man'.

Pam, although English by birth, is definitely a naturalized kiwi! Interests include gardening, sewing, knitting, computer stuff, dancing, music (Elvis & Rob), keeping fit, baking and making jams, marmalades, pickles and preserves, which end up on the table for guests and family to enjoy. Together we are blessed with 5 children and are Nana & Poppa to 9 beautiful grandchildren who enjoy visiting us from time to time in our piece of paradise.

AND friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable hosts living on the property, always available to answer all your questions and help with any travel plans / reservations.
